Each month, we're going to spend a few minutes with the hidden faces of the gang.  No, not the people dressed in black in the UV numbers! The people that help with the running of the show backstage as just as important as all those smiling faces you see on stage. So this week we're going...

Behind the Scenes with Russell - 

1. How long have you been a member of the gang? 

I joined the show in 1980 initially helping produce props and working backstage as a stagehand. I then went on to Ropes and many other backstage activities. 

2. What is your job role in the gang?

I currently run the lighting desk during show week and run the show websites

3. What has been your favourite ever item?

Doctor Who ( The original item we did way back in the 1980’s )

4. Which item did you enjoy the least

Chinese takeaway. I just do not find it funny (in fact I dislike most sketches as they are out of date)

5. What one thing would you like us to do in the future?

More new stuff not repeats of items from old shows revamped

6. Corrie or Eastenders?

Neither, I hate soaps

7. Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor?

Strictly

8. What's your favourite song?

Love changes everything (Michael Ball)

9. Tell us one interesting/embarrassing fact about yourself

I love Musicals

10. If you were to appear on stage, which would you prefer to do? Sing, Dance or Act?

Mime or sing but I have lost my singing voice due to going deaf in one ear
