Apologies for the lack of updating! The busy busy rehearsals meant that I was unable to keep as up to date with the blog as I wanted. But we're in the final furlong now, and fairly soon this years show will be over. So I thought I'd make the most of it, and catch you up on our final weeks of preparation.
As you can see from our photos, the show is finally starting to look like a real show. All the songs have been sung, all the dances have been taught, and now all that's left is practising and rehearsing to make sure that the show is as ready as possible.
The full band are now joining us for rehearsals, and this makes such a difference to our singing and dancing. Costumes are being finished at an alarming rate, and I'm pleased to say that no costumes needed to be adjusted as a result of too much Christmas pudding!
Next week is our first rehearsal in the theatre, and although it will be a very long day, it will be very exciting for all our cast members, some of whom have never been backstage in the theatre before.
